Hollywood actor Nick Pasqual, 34, has been formally charged with attempted murder following allegations of multiple stabbings against his former girlfriend. The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office announced Pasqual's charges on Wednesday, including one count of attempted murder, first-degree residential burglary with a person present, and injuring a spouse, cohabitant, fiancé, boyfriend, girlfriend, or child's parent. If found guilty on all counts, he could receive a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.
While the victim's identity was not disclosed by the DA's office, Entertainment Tonight has reported makeup artist Allie Shehorn as the alleged victim. A GoFundMe campaign was initiated to assist with Shehorn's medical costs.
Pasqual purportedly broke into his ex-girlfriend's Los Angeles residence around 4:30 AM on May 23, according to the district attorney's office. There, he allegedly inflicted multiple stab wounds upon her. Shehorn, who had recently obtained a restraining order against Pasqual, sustained critical injuries and was hospitalized.
The GoFundMe campaign indicated that Shehorn was fighting for her life and remained in the intensive care unit for several days. She has undergone multiple surgeries, including procedures to repair severed tendons in her right arm and to close wounds in her neck.
